Earth Hour Observed at Santhi School

Today, Santhi School proudly observes Earth Hour, joining millions around the world in a symbolic act to protect our planet. The students of Santhi School participate with great enthusiasm as lights are turned off across the campus for one full hour, creating a powerful message about energy conservation and sustainability. The principal and teachers of Santhi School guide students through informative sessions about climate change, renewable energy, and the importance of making small but meaningful lifestyle changes. The school assembly also includes inspiring speeches and eco-themed skits performed by the students, fostering a sense of unity and responsibility toward the Earth.

To make Earth Hour more impactful, Santhi School organizes hands-on activities such as candlelight storytelling, poster-making on “Save the Earth,” and forming human chains in the shape of the number 60, symbolizing the 60 minutes of Earth Hour. Students of Santhi School also take pledges to reduce electricity use, avoid plastic, and plant more trees. This observance not only spreads environmental awareness but also encourages young minds to become thoughtful and eco-conscious global citizens.
